What a wonderful convention - lots of workshops, great stereo theatre,
interesting items at the trade show -- and I missed most of it!

I didn't see any slide shows nor visited any workshops. Therefore, next
year in Richmond, Andrew and I are bringing 1 box of stuff and going back to
the good ole days of enjoying ourselves. No more equipment for sale, no
more "glamour" slides etc - at least not from us, but there are always lots
of people bringing items to buy, sell & trade. We are going to partake of
the convention once again!

We did meet lots of new people and were able to put faces to names. I think
the camera around Sam Smith's neck was almost as large as he is and he isn't
diminuitive in any way! I met the charming (and excellent photographer)
Simon Bell who sold out of his 2 new "bug" books. And we met Shilo from
Japan, who with Chris H.'s help as tour guide, must have seen and
photographed everything in Seattle. And there was Jon G. working very hard
getting the registration packages ready and donating lots of RBTs to the
convention - an unsung hero, IMHO. And I definitely don't want to forget
Mike G. from Canada who was having lots of fun taking videos of everything.
And I could go on and on and on.

I'd like to thank all the people who helped with the trade show etc. -
cutting table cloths and putting them on the tables - helping sop up the
leaking sprinklers and helping with last minute arrangements. And it was
quite a sight to see Ron K., Les C., Andrew and myself crawling around the
floor of the banquet room putting the door prize stickers under chairs.
These are the events that make memories!

We took some video (flat) footage toward the end of the trade show and I've
put one of the images up on my website - http://www.3dstereo.com. You'll
need to scroll down to see the caption. Please excuse the poor quality.

One last item - THANK YOU for your support of 3D from Dalia and INSIDE 3D
Magazine. None of it would be possible without your help.
