Larry, you are missing Jonathan's point.
If you view a depthcharged web page without the depthcharge viewer
installed, you don't see an image and you won't see a link
to the raw .jps file.
You need to delve into the HTML code to find the URL of the .jps file.
e.g. on my sun, the following URL:
http://www.3dexpo.com/gallery/gallery_mars/mars_00688_17646_597x473.htm
just shows a grey box with "Download Plugin" where the image should be.
If you VIEW SOURCE you can find the filename of the image (which is
presumably in the same directory/URL):
<EMBED src="mars_00688_17646_597x473.jps" type="image/x-jps" WIDTH...
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
