The computer center at the school has decided that it's time to
drop the old pre-merger addressing for the campus (despite the fact
that initially a two year change over time was specified - and it's
been 10 months). 

So bobcat's name will change from bobcat.etsu.edu to 
bobcat.tamu-commerce.edu (yuck!). This is slated to happen within
the next week or so.

What this means is that any addresses which may exist
to bobcat.etsu.edu will start bouncing mail.

Now, on the mailing lists once the name is changed, anyone who
just hits "reply" will be in good shape since the new address will
be automatically used. However, for mailer programs (and others)
that have a macro (or something similar) with the etsu address coded
in, those will need to be changed.

For those of you who are not following the above - don't worry about
it :-)

Just be a bit patient. If you send a message to the listserv and
something appears flakey, please DO NOT send queries and/or complaints
to the LIST itself - it will just aggravate the situation. Wait awhile and
try to send again later when things have straightened out (to the new
address, such as photo-3d@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx or
overland-trails@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

The timing on this is unfortunate since a) many people are on vacation and
their automatic mail programs are going to not handle an address
change well and b) a MUCH LARGER name change will occur AGAIN in
about a month or so (sigh). However, to keep the mailing lists
going in the intermim, this current adjustment is necessary.

For any questions, drop me a note. Again - please DO NOT mail
them to the list in general.
