Realist Serial #'s

Bill Walton asks about the oldest Realist.
I have a few Realist Cameras. 
Custom SN# 022181
A 3.5 SN# A87228
And the one that I use the most often and is my favorite of them all
3.5 SN# 003626, This Camera was bought brand new from the Local Camera Shop
and has been in use by my Mom and Dad, then by me ever since. Lots of film
has passed through this one over the years and I still have almost ALL of the
pictures that this "Realist Work Horse" has taken. :-)))))

? what is the difference in SN with A in front?
