Print Mounting Materials

Dave Wood, dwood@xxxxxxxxxx, posted the following to sell-3d:

"Have been mounting my prints on matting board cut to size but appearance is
not so good because of imperfect edges. Don't care for the fold over type
available. Can someone supply flat mount card mounts or recommend a source?"

     I, too, find matte board unsatisfactory... too thick for my taste.

     Years back, when I was doing prints more, my office re-did their filing
system.... I salvaged the dividers that went between the files and cut them
into stereo card mount size. This was heavy card stock, a thickness I've
never otherwise seen(didn't look hard). It isn't quite as thick as Keystone
grey mounts, but with prints pasted on, quite stiff without being
esthetically unpleasant in thickness.

     Not archival, I think, but better than some of the prints I didn't get
around to mounting!:=)

     I'd like to get into doing prints somewhat again and repost Dave's
request.
