Re: DrT Quotes (backups and bracketing)

Greg Wageman made some interesting comments regarding the DrT quote:

* The equivalent of not bracketing shots in photography is not backing up
files in the computer. Unfortunately, I practice both...

I wrote this after my wife deleted all my files (many of them 3d related)
from her computer. What happened next is summarized in another DrT quote:

* After considerable thought I decided that buying a computer is less
complicated and less expensive than filling for a divorce...

And I went ahead to buy my own personal computer, a year and a half ago...

Today, I still don't back up my files and I don't bracket exposures...
Both, of course ,are serious mistakes for the cautious computer
user/photographer. In photography, I usually "lock" the exposure and take
several shots of the same subject (some from different angles.) Whenever
in serious doubt (regarding exposure) I usually bracket full f-stops.
Getting consistently good exposures with the same equipment and not having
lost any important files in the computer is what supports my bad habits :-)
