It's not the art of 3-D that doesn't sell..its in the delivery. Delivery
is based on 3 concepts.....
Format,Preferences, and Explain/Confirm. Lets
discuss Format first. To create effective stereo
images, depth & realism is obtained by "recreating" the natural process
of vision. Each eye receives a dedicated image, prefering a
transparent or translucent image to eliminate
glossy reflections common with most prints.
ISO 100 or slower reduces grain disparity (ex.
by Dr.T earlier ) In a relaxed and natural manner, one can view ( lying,
sitting or standing) a spectacular result! Most would agree stereo
slides are superior. The problem........the term 3-D falls into a grab
bag
of formats......anaglyph,lenticular,etc. The formats were never properly
labeled & explained. After all 3-D is 3-D, right? Concider
other product formats....VHS vs BETA........
Disc vs 110 vs 35mm.......8 track vs cass vs DAT......Chocolate vs
vanilla vs strawberry...
and ( one fits all neopolitan 3-D ) I believe the
public was confused and unaware of format
differences.....thus forced to eat around neopolitan with a thin flimsy
small wooden spoon. Just my opinion. PREFERENCE topic
next. MARK DOTTLE
