ghosting with lenticular screens

Dave Kesner has had ghosting problems with a lenticular screen, and asks
about the problem.  I felt that the ghosting in my slides at NSA might have
been due to the lenticular screen, since before & after the convention they
were projected on a 'flat' aluminum screen with little or no ghosting.  I
posted the question to P3D, and one response was:

1. I used a commercial silver lenticular screen that had miserable
ghosting problems. Obviously, I no longer use that screen.

I would like to join the chorus & ask if anyone knows a reason that a
lenticular screen would depolarize.   There are two possible reasons that
come to mind.   Reflection at a steep angle, off the sides of the
'lenticles', could reduce polarization.  Second, aluminum paint has many
tiny particles, and if they 'show' in the texture of the dried paint, that
would definitely depolarize by scattering.  It is possible that the
'lenticles' make it harder for the aluminum particles to lay flat.
