Here in Germany, Tetenal sells "Kamera-Mattlack", which is the stuff used 
by camera-manufacturers to blacken the interior of cameras. Excellent 
paint: very thin - and extremely matte-black. These sell for approx. $10 
per small can. But it will last quite for a while (unless you wish to 
paint your darkroom with it or plan to build a room-sized camera-obscura 
...
