One can still do this (turn stereocam 90 degrees) and mount in the usual way.
 If the person with viewer in hand will lie in a reclined position, turn the
head to the side, the view will feel normal enough.  8-)

Not a bad way to look at stereos if you have a nice sequence of similar
shots.  Lying down is a great for hand-held viewing, 
...but never in projection or an Aerequipt Theatre.  8-P
