My father had one eye that that did not track the other due to a
muscle-imbalance (born in 1904), and I don't recall that he had any
accidents with the cars he drove, at least during the time my memory goes
back (naturally, I have a perfect memory :-) ). We never discussed the
lack of stereo-vision I can only assume that he "suffered" from,
unfortunately.
