"Stereogram", vol. 2, no. 1
- From: P3D Dr. George A. Themelis <fj834@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>
- Subject: "Stereogram", vol. 2, no. 1
- Date: Tue, 26 Aug 1997 11:16:58 -0400 (EDT)
The latest issue of the "Stereogram" (vol. 2, No. 1) goes in the mail
today. This is the first newsletter of the O-hi-O Stereo Photographic
Society for the 1997-1998 year, which is also our first regular year.
We would like to thank photo-3d members for their support, as we now have
27 subscribers (non-members), 24 of which are photo-3d members, including 3
international subscriptions (1 Canada and 2 England). Next year I will
propose to call our subscribers "Associate Members", i.e. members that
cannot attend the meetings but can feel part of our group.
Subscriptions are still available at $12/year (10 issues). This barely
covers the cost of producing and distributing the newsletter, which is
estimated to be $1 per issue (just postage and photocopying - does not
count many hours of labor and computer use). To subscribe, send your check
to: George Themelis, 10243 Echo Hill Drive, Cleveland OH 44141. If you
would like to receive last year's issues (2), to complete the set, please
send $2 more. Donations are always welcome!!!
Why would someone want to subscribe to our newsletter?
Here are a few good reasons:
- Read interesting news about our meetings and activities.
- Get ideas about their club's activities.
- Read basic articles on stereo photography (this current issue has a
special on stereo mounting)
- Get to know us better! (current issue has an article on DrT's "ill-fated"
vacation to Greece, including a picture of his charming companion
photographing the much-discussed "sunset")
- Unlike most other stereo publications (not newsletters) it is a REGULAR
publication, as it is always mailed one week before the first Tuesday of
the month!
Regards,
George Themelis, Stereogram Editor... among other things... :-)
PS. Note that "OhiO" in our club name is not the state of Ohio, but a
simple "hi", surrounded by two circles which represent the stereo camera's
lenses (this is our logo and I am not kiddding!). We are a friendly stereo
club, eager to greed visitors ("Hi!"), and do not claim to be the only
stereo club in Ohio. :-)
