Why not?  Do you mean you are looking so far to the side that only one
eye sees the objects of interest?  If both eyes are working there has to 
be a reduced stereo base but I think the brain takes care of that OK.

They're kind of interesting.  A subject located at infinity is located
at the center of curvature of the mirror after reflection, if I understand
it correctly.  That means I have to use the middle lens of my trifocals
to see convex rearview mirror reflections sharply.  Not sure what the
implications for steropsis would be; an interesting topic!
