Re Digest 2244

Michael Mullen in digest 2249 asks about the possibilty of modifying a
Nimslo for close up lenticular photographs. I replied to a similar enquiry
by Elliot Swanson a while back about how I made a large close up lens for
all four lenses of a Nimslo . From a cylindrical perspex lens intended for
the teaching of optics. I had to slice it up the middle and regrind and
polish a flat face making two plano/convex lenses which could fit onto the
front of the camera over the existing lenses .The curvature of the lenses
converging the axis of the cameras lenses to a point as well enabling them
to focuss closer. Elliot Swanson now has the other half of the lens as well
as a copy of the lenticular print of the best result so far , a close up of
a Pansy Orchid Miltonia Species
