lenticular screen design
- From: P3D Tony McDougall <palmaboy@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx>

G'day all,
I'm interested in the theory underlying the design of lenticular
screens.
My pool of reference literature is very shallow at the moment, with
Ferwerda's "The World of 3-D" being my only source of information to
date.
The Internet has yielded some good references, eg papers by R. Borner
and T. Hattori, et al in the journal "Three Dimensional Image Technology
and Arts" would be interesting reading, if I could only get hold of a
copy.
I've gained some insight into lenticular design principles using
fundamental (geometrical) optics theory but factors such as the number
of lenticules per centimetre (or inch), the radius of the lens element,
the finite width of the image stripes behind each lenticule and the
thickness of the screen are all things that I need to gain a greater
understanding of.
I would welcome any feedback from the list on this subject.
Thanks,
Tony McDougall
