FED Fade.

The last film from my FED (basic model, mercury battery) was 
uniformly very overexposed. The exposure is normally accurate.

The battery tests OK when not under load, but I suspect and 
hope that the battery is the problem. Before I waste a film 
finding out, can anyone tell me if indeed the exposure on a 
FED gets longer as the battery goes flat? 

It is possible that I have not encountered this before as the 
batteries are either fine, or have gone completely flat with 
the camera in the bag. This battery was first used in January, 
but has always been removed from the camera when not in use.
