I believe you can open up one of the apertures in the 
slide mount to compensate for the larger image.  The 
result will be like getting a new pair of glasses with 
a slightly different prescription: takes a second to 
get used to but works fine.  Of course opening up one
of the apertures neatly is not trivial.  About a year
ago Ed Romney posted how to adjust triplet lenses to 
make their image sizes match.  I don't think I'd mess 
with a Tessar, though.
