True if you are printing the screen. High quality digital images however
are substantially higher quality than the screen and print extremely well.
Normally one doesn't do a screen-print. One prints from the image file
quasi-directly to the printer.
If you have a Tektronix sales center near you, try visiting and see if they
can give you some sample prints off of their dye-sublimation printers. They
look like photographs, and the image source was digital.
No dots at all.

in the Portland, Oregon area seems to have). :-)
