Sorry!

Uh... I think either I wasn't clear or you
misunderstand what I wrote.  I gave the
example about properly stored Kodachrome as
my example of the VERY BEST long-life film
that I could think of!

The "never looked at" was because for best
storage (as I understand it) it should be
stored in the dark.  If one looks at it, then
it's not in the dark.  I was was trying to
give the ULTIMATE example in magnificient 
film storage ability.  I think you obviously
agree that I chose well.

Despite your feelings about it, I respectfully disagree.
A digital image can *literally* last a billion
years without any degradation.  I don't have proof,
but I don't think even Kodachrome could last 
that long without degrading at least a little.

Not that those a billion years from now will care,
but with digital imagery, they could.  :-)
