If one took micro-photographs (3D of course) of the grooves on a "failed"
CDROM and individually studied each pit or partial pit (still silvered or not)
one probably could determine the data with much more reliablity than using
one's $50 CDROM reader drive. So that scanner a hundred years from now
could do that inspection with along with the AI manipulation end up with good
results. If that fails, one can always use Tachyon beams, that never fails!
