I agree with Gary Schacker about using local, in house E-6 processing.
When I moved to Flagstaff last month, I called around to the various
processing places and found 1 (for a town of 50,000) that does 1 hour
developing for $5 for a roll of 36.  I gave them a roll of Velvia Monday
morning at 10, picked it up  at 1pm and dropped off another, and then
picked up the second that night at 5pm closing.  I make sure that they
write PROCESSING and SLEEVE ONLY, DO NOT MOUNT, NO NOT CUT, NO NOT ROLL,
on each envelope to make sure I get it back the way I want it.
