Nogglevision

One last reminder about Nogglevision. This from the
September 20 - 26,  1997 TV Guide:

THE WEEK'S BEST BETS FOR KIDS
Nogglevision (Mon.-Sun., Nickelodeon, 8 P.M./ET)
Kids can pick up Noggle Goggles at supermarkets
and Blockbuster Video to view 3-D episodes of
the cable channel's 8 P.M. shows. Participating
are Hey Arnold!, The Secret World of Alex Mack,
Kablam!, Rugrats, and The Mystery Files of Shelby
Woo. Larisa Oleynik (Alex Mack) and animated
Arnold host this special-effects festival.

I checked out a Blockbuster Video today, I looked
and didn't see anything about Nogglevision, 3D,
glasses, etc. (can you say Wendy's?). I did finally
see a pair of Noggle Goggles behind the counter.
I asked the clerk, who was trying to do all the work
himself, while the other four were very busy ignoring
everyone. He, of course was the only one there that
didn't have a clue about anything. I waited while he
asked the other clerks questions. He knew nothing about
Nogglevision, so I pointed to the glasses on the counter.
Another clerk opened the drawer where they had them
stashed and told him they were for watching TV in 3D.
He then returned and told me they were for watching
TV in 3D. Again, I asked how I could get a pair, he
asked the other clerk who told him they were free. He
returned and told me they were free, "Would I like one?"
To my yes, he asked if I needed more than one. I asked
for three and left very frustrated, which is how I might be
come 8 P.M. Monday night.

Actually Chromatek, Inc. had a very nice video presentation
at SIGGRAPH '97 (24th International Conference of
Computer Graphics and Interactive Techniques)!
I hope I am not expecting too much from Nickelodeon.
