Kodak rebounds from recent decline

NEW YORK, Sept 22 (Reuter) - Eastman Kodak Co shares recovered somewhat
on Monday after falling last week when the company said that its
third-quarter earnings would disappoint Wall Street. 

With Kodak up 2-6/16 to 61-13/16 in afternoon trading, one analyst
attributed the stock's rally to investors anticipating a restructuring
plan that would turn the company around. 

``You've just got some people anticipating restructuring,'' said
Alexander Henderson, a Prudential Securities analyst. 

Kodak's chief financial officer, Harry Kavetas, said last Tuesday that
the company will provide details of a cost-cutting plan in October when
it releases its quarterly financial results. 

Henderson said some investors apparently decided Kodak had fallen so low
that its shares were attractively priced, presuming that the
restructuring plan puts the company back on track. 

But Henderson said he was not ready to jump on the bandwagon. 

``I think they're misguided,'' he said of those buying Kodak on Monday.
