A question of grain.

Just mounted and viewed the slides I shot with my Realist at Arlington
Park Race Course the other day. A beautiful track that might not be
open next season, so I had to save it for posterity. It was a clear and
sunny day, I shot Kodak Elite II 100, mostly at "sunny f16".

This may be a silly or obvious question, but when viewing the slides
through my Red button viewer, I am noting more grain (particulary in the
blue sky) than I recall seeing in other slides. I suspect that nothing
here has changed (the equipment); I think I have just become more aware
of it. My question is, have other stereo photographers gone to slower
film because of it, and through the viewer, is there a great difference
(compared to say Velvia).
