First of all, I've had good luck with Kodalux and I'd hate to see them
quit mounting stereo slides.  That is probably what they will do if we
bombard them with customer service phone calls and the like.  
I don't mean you should tolerate poor quality, not at all, but consider
saving your jeremiads until something actually happens to you.  Don't
call to complain unless you have a complaint.

No one can realistically believe that they make any money on this.  Would
you mount a roll of Realist slides for $4 and change?  It usually takes
me a couple of hours, so call it $2.25 per hour.  I'm sure the folks at
Fuji are foaming at the mouth to steal the stereo mounting money cow from
Kodak.

Yes, it takes a while for your pictures to come back, I've waited up to
five weeks.  But we are grownups, instant gratification is for infants,
no matter how much the computer and tv folks try to persuade us
otherwise.
I like the more genteel pace of stereo photography.

My point is, let's all calm down, have a glass of beer and listen to the
radio.  If you are afraid of Kodalux, don't send them your film. 
Ultimately they will stop the service anyway, it is astonishing that they
have kept at it so long, but I think we may hurry that day by harassing
them (unless of course they actually screw up your film).

I don't have anything to do with Kodak, but I think their films are
outstanding and I wish them a lot of luck.
I do have one thing in common with Kodalux, however, I have been in the
photography business for years and I don't know what the Colardeau
progression is either.  Unless it is the line of succession to the throne
of Romania.
