If you had a chance for a free pass to Heaven, but were informed that the
quota for humans was filled for the day of the pass so you would have to
be a squid after you got there, wouldn't you be tempted to try a little
negotiation? :-)

I think the price being discussed was $30 - I'd consider that fair, but
not "almost free".

I'd be able to do that more later on than now. As I mentioned a week or
two ago, I haven't had time to figure out how to use my scanner. (I do have
half ownership of a CD-ROM writer, but same situation.)

Good point. Also it's Dan's project, and anything the rest of us say can
only be considered advice. From Dan's Monday post, it sounds like he
does intend to include some material that's not just Web site mirrors,
which makes it much more interesting from my point of view.
