Kodachrome, Kodalux, whatever

I appreciate all efforts to keep a film type alive, but I'm going to shoot
with E-6 films in the future. I just got a roll of Kodachrome back from
Kodak's processing, in Minneapolis I believe. It was clearly marked, do
not cut, and they cut & mounted it for me. Believe it or not, they also
cut it mid-frame, though I do give them a millimeter of slack there,
because this was an experimental roll with some very underexposed frames &
some double exposures. Finally, the somewhat underexposed frames are a lot
grainier than I would have expected.
You guys who are trying to do aritficial respiration on Kodalux will have
to re-iterate why we should send film there.
I sincerely hope Kodak doesn't join Bausch & Lomb in some Rochester
boneyard, but they'll have to make it without my slide film budget.
