Thanks! I too have enjoyed it...

Actually, you don;t necessarily have to send the site to me. I can just
about as easily pull the whole thing down myself. I now have access to
an ridiculously fast Internet connectioon which is part of why I even
started thinking about this project... All of a sudden I was able to see
3 to 5 MB movies in short order... Why not share that kind of access
with my friends! =)
In the off list discussions, we will talk about web site submission, and
the logistic of it, but suffice it to say that I do not expect a
"contributor" to actuially have to download the site, and send it to me
on a physical piece (or pieces) of media. (As long as what they want
included is on the Web.

If a web site "owner" has such an arrangement, I HAVE to trust that they
will let me know that when we discuss the use of the site. In such a
case, maybe the image(s) involved could be left out of the CD version of
the site, but linked to the Web version with some sort of notification
on the CD that the link requires a live Internet connection.
Remeber, one of the primary goals of this thing is to "document" 3D web
sites on media that will facilitate speedy access to them without the
need of an Internet connection. I want to be careful to not include too
many links that require a connection...
The most important part of this thing is that sites will only be
included if owner consent is secured. That means that the CD will only
be a snapshot (review if you like) of that existing material. If there
is a copyright issue, then the creator of the web site is the one with
the problem... My tack on this for now is that if they are OK presenting
the data currently on the web, then their approval to use their data
makes it OK on the CD.

Great. Counting you in! =)

I looked for information about this a few years back... I honestly think
this was a `good idea that never happened' kinda thing. I too had mail
returned when I tried to contact them. too bad... It would have been fun
to see/own.
