Snappy

Someone a while ago suggested the use of Snappy to capture stereo video
frames from 3D video tapes and then de-interlace the results. I understand
and can do the deinterlace part of it, but I can't seem to get the snappy to
capture the interlaced fields.
It primarily seems to grab only one field at a time. I found one mode where
it captures two fields, but it does so in two separate steps, which results
in fields from two very different times. The results are interlaced, but
hardly usable stereo whenever anything has been moving.
Does anyone know the secret to using Snappy to capture simultaneous stereo
fields from a 3D video frame? I can pause the video machine, but the image
quality is really bad when paused...
It does work nicely on regular videos and I've gotten some nice stereo pairs
where the camera was trucking sidewards. Two separate frames works nicely
for that kind of source material.
Thanks,
Larry Berlin
