I think Paul Talbot...or Dr.T wrote this

>>I had always thought the RBT pin bars adjustment feature was
only needed for single camera stereo shots (cha-cha or slide
bar), or stereo cameras with a slight lens vertical alignment
problem. Learn something new everyday!

RBT's calibrated vertical adjustment system brough to light the fact
that my Realists had an offset. I would not have known that
otherwise...and each Realist I had at that time required a differeent
adjustment. My Custom needed to have the right chip shifted down .1mm,
while my 3.5 neeeded the left shifte down .2mm

Dont worry if you discover this about your stereo camera, its is fairly
commonn...and those offsets are not that bad.....if you have .3 or more,
you might want to consider having it realigned.

Actually....with a single camera...where you are doing a cha-cha...or
side step shift.....the pin bars in an RBT may not work...unless you are
really good at this technique.....if there is any rotation.....what you
can do is the following.

a) When you take your cha-cha....the first of you two shots will most
likely be set the way you want it....as in your compostition looks
good.....its the second or shift shot that may be a little tilted or not
asa you want it....soooo

b) when you get your chips cut....set the first of the two in an RBT on
a pin bar....and take the second shot....try it on a pin bar...and see
how you do.

c) If the rotation is not an issue (hoooray for that!) but vertical
is...then try the pin bars at one of theri four locations to see if you
can get what you need.

d) If rotation is an issue, then try removing the second or shift shot
from the mount....and get some Wess Tabs from Reel 3D (see below for
more info).....then float the chip( a term for moving your chip around
free of any mount calibrations) until desired alingment is reached, and
tab it down.
