"The KRC Research/PIC survey was conducted by telephone August 6-10, 1997. The
nationwide cross-section of 1,000 adults ages 18 and
over was interviewed for the study. The margin of error is + or - 3
percentage points." Maybe all the photographers were out taking
pictures that week?

I recently read that less than 20% of the population is on the WWW.
Today on the cover of 'Wideband', the story is "Net Use Slows" The
Internet "could be the CB Radio of the '90s," claims Gary Gabelhouse
of Fairfield Research in Lincoln, Neb. He says a new survey by his firm
indicates the number of U.S. households using the Internet regularly
dropped by more than five million since early last year. "This steady
decline does not bode well for Internet advertising nor entertainment
content providers," adds the reseacher.
Fairfield surveyed 1,000 households in July to come up with this
estimate. They figure 9.6 million households are using the Internet
regularly."
This figure is down from 15.5 million of six quarters ago. Again
perhaps all the Internet users were logged on and the researcher
got a busy tone when he called that household!

Thanks for the time,
