Realist 3.5 "problems"

Common, but NOT in ALL Realists 3.5.   I am using a 3.5 now that does not
vignette in f/11 or f/16.

My personal favorite!  I love the cool balance.  You want "warm"?  Get an
Ektar 2.8!  As a matter of fact, I might as well reveal the reason I sold
my Ektar 2.8:  I was not thrilled with the warm balance of the lenses.   I
figured others could be happier...  I hate to put bluish filters in 
a supersharp Ektar lens (it did cross my mind!)

>3. There seems to be 'flare' on highlights, perhaps caused by the geometry

I don't recall having flare problems with the 3.5.  Last time I noticed
flare was in a Belplasca.

PS.  Did I mention that my two favorite stereo cameras right now are
Realist 3.5's?  :-)  For $100+ you cannot beat that quality!
