That reminds me - last year I was fortunate enough to be able to spend a
day at the Louvre in Paris. (I know that as an engineer I had no business
being there - let's assume that I had intended to admire a water treatment 
plant and made a wrong turn). Anyway, I noticed that of all the myriads of
paintings in the museum, one in particular drew enormous crowds - people
clamoring to get a glimpse of it. That painting was the Mona Lisa
(La Gioconda). It was tragic - but I just couldn't bear to inform those
people that the image they were viewing was no good - but it must have been,
because the creator, Leonardo da Vinci, was a scientist and engineer!
