Hi folks,

Sorry to get back to you so late. Because of being busy around these days,
I was not able to handle free sample delivering ASAP. Attached is the list
of delivering status. I'll send out my stuff to the rest soon. A completed
version of PhotoEZ(one of the 3D authoring tools) and an upgraded 120Hz VGA
driver on WIN95 are ready now. Feel free to give me a mail if you don't
have them. Also, let me know if I miss your name. Following is a Quick
Start Guide for you to use our LCD shutter glasses and 3D authoring tools,
PhotoEZ and ImageFolio, and create your own 3D photos on WIN95. I would
appreciate if you let me and 3D folks know that you've put your 3D photos,
created by my stuff, on your web page. There are still 50 chances left.
Feel free to contact me if you have any problems.

Best Regards,

--------- Quick Start Guide for 3D PhotoMaster
-------------------------------------------
(Please visit "3D Digital Photography" at APEC's web page for further
instructions)

3D PhotoMaster includes:

	LCD Shutter Glasses
	External VGA Synchronizer
	VGA cable
	12V DC Power Adptor
	1 CD-ROM(3D Authoring Tools, 120Hz VGA Driver)

3D authoring tool (either tool can be used to create 3D images):
	PhotoEZ (a starter's tool)
	ImageFolio (a powerful editing tool)

120Hz VGA Driver(VR97) supports the following resolutions on WIN95.
The current driver included in 3D PhotoMaster was an old version which
supports 640x480 only. The lastest version will be sent with this mail.

Supported resolutions on Windows 95:
	640x480
	800x600
	1024x768

Supported VGA chipsets:

	S3 ViRGE, ViRGE(DX), 775, 765, 764, 868
	Trident 9440, 9680, 968x
	Cirrus 5446
	ATI Mach64(CT), Mach64(GT)
	Tseng ET6000

Simple steps to start your PhotoMaster:

Step 1. Make sure that you have a Windows 95 machine

Step 2. Check your VGA adaptor. If your VGA adaptor is not supported
by our driver, go to step 9. Don't worry, you can still see the
3D effects with unsupported VGA adaptors. But you may experience
      minor flickering problem.

Step 3. Shut down your machine before installing VR97
Step 4. Restart your machine, and install the 120Hz driver(VR97),
and PhotoEZ (you may also choose to install Imagefolio, instead)

Step 5. Run 120Hz driver(icon:VR97)
      - This driver will set your VGA environment to the "INTERLACE" mode
which is required for displaying stereo images.
      - A message, "the unknown manufacturer", will appear on the screen
if
your VGA adaptor is not supported by VR97. You need to go to step
9
to set up "INTERLACE" mode by using WIN95's utility program.

Step 6. Test your monitor's bandthwith.
        - Please note that you must test your monitor before you enable
          120Hz driver
        - There is a function, called "TEST", in the function bar of
VR97. After you click on "TEST", you'll find different test
frequences ranged from 90Hz to 120Hz. You can select any one of
those frequencies and click on "test". Your momitor will display
a
stereo graphic ("VR97") on your screen if your monitor can accept
the selected frequency. Don't panic if your screen becomes dark
or
irregular (this just means that your monitor will not support the
frequency you just selected). Your monitor will return back to
normal after 5 seconds. In this case, you need to reduce to
a lower frequency and do the same test again. After you find the
maximum frequncy that can be accepted by your monitor, set it as
the default value. If your monitor can not accept any of the
listed
frequency, then you need to use Windows 95's utility program to
set the INTERLACE mode (go to step 9 in this case).

Step 7. Click on "Enable VR system" to activate 120Hz driver if you pass
the "TEST"
        - Basically, your screen will be shrinked after the driver is
enabled. You need to adjust your screen by using the hardware
          adjusting buttons on your monitor.
        - There are two buttons on the VGA interface box which connects the
glasses to your PC. The upper one is the on/off swich of glasses.

You need to push this button so that the "green" light stays on
(this will activate the LCD shutter glasses). The lower switch
is used to adjust the displaying sequence of the left and
right images. If the display is out of sequence, you may see
the right image with your left eye, and left image with your
right eye. In this case, the stereo effect will be poor. Pushing
this button will restore the right sequence. Please note that
the display sequnce of the right and left images can be altered
for many reasons. So just push this button any time when you
don't feel that you are see the best stereo effect.

Step 8. Now you can run any application if you can reach this step.
        - For example, you can run Netscape and view APEC's 3D photos at
"www.apec.com.tw". You can use Imagefolio or PhotoEZ to create
your own 3D images. You can also find a more detailed description
of these tools in APEC's home page.

Step 9. Setup INTERLACE mode using Windows 95' utility program
        - You can setup interlace mode with the resolution at 1024x768.
You need to enter "display" in the "control panel". Please visit
APEC's home page for further instructions. You may go back to
step 8 if you are
          able to setup INTERLACE mode.
        - There are two options if you are not able to set interlace mode
even by using your WIN95 utility program. Option 1 is to give
the package to your friend whose machine has a compatible VGA
card.
The next option is to buy a new VGA adaptor card. If you really
like stereo images like we do, option 2 is your best choice.
Enjoy it and let us know your comments and suggestions.
