4.5 Custom Realist

Hi Group, thought you all might be interested
in this. I would appreciate any one adding to
the posting.

I have a friend that now owns 3 very special
Custom Stereo Realists. Here are the facts:

1) Lens plate says "Custom 4.5"
2) Optics are Steinheil Ortho Stigmat 4.5's
3) There were only 6 manufactured.
4) They were considered prototypes; Realist
was thinking about offering a revision of the
Stereo Realist but did not because of the
costs associated with suitable matched
optics. (?)
5) The cameras were given to celebrities. My
friend's camera came from the Harold Lloyd
estate. 
6) The cameras went to: Harold Lloyd, John
Wayne, General Eisenhower, someone named
Jones, and not sure about the others. The 3
remaining cameras are thought to be gold
plated.

Any thoughts or additions to this?
