I have not had much time to play with the 3D Photomaster system and I =
have=20
not installed the 120hz video drivers. I didn't install the video =
drivers because=20
I'm happy with my current interlaced resolution in Win95 (1024x768) and =
I can't =20
detect any flicker. I discovered that I can use the 3D Photomaster and =
my=20
VR Surfer glasses at the same time, and that the 3D Photomaster glasses=20
will work with DepthCharge when it displays interlaced images.=20

The glasses are lighter, more comfortable, and better suited to eyeglass =
wearing=20
than the VR Surfer glasses. Could VRex come out with a new model?=20

On the software front 3D Photomaster seems to be an add-on or plug-in =
addition=20
to an existing image manipulation package called Photo EZ. It does not =
provide for =20
anaglyphic, dual image stereo, or JPS formats, only interlaced. =
Nonetheless it=20
handles interlaced images well. It has the most intuitive interface for =
adjusting the=20
stereo window and correcting vertical alignment. Both 3D Photomaster and =

the recently released 3D Stereo Image Factory from SOFTreat allow the=20
user to see the interlaced image before saving it to the hard disk, but =
the=20
3D Photomaster (Photo EZ?) is better than the cross hair adjustment=20
interface of Stereo Image Factory, and both are more advanced than=20
VRex's MUX-IT.=20

IMHO, YMMV=20

Also, as soon as you get your 3D Photomaster glasses working you=20
can visit my interlaced stereo photo page of Burning Man 3-D 1997 at:
