Balanced Rock has fallen:

I saw a very brief news report yesterday stating that "Balanced Rock"
in the Garden of the Gods park in Colorado Springs had fallen due to
our recent blizzard.  The Garden of the Gods in general and Balanced
Rock in particular was a popular stereo photo subject in the early
part of this century.  I was in Colorado Springs in July attending my
wife's family reunion and took a dozen or so stereo photos trying to
match the same view shown in the antique cards I have.  I may have
taken the last stereo pictures ever of Balanced Rock in the Garden
of the Gods.  Sad.
