Article on lenticular technology

In this weeks issue of Electronic Design (Oct23,97 Vol.45 No.23)
there is an interesting article about using lenticular screens
with LCD screen. Not a new idea but nonetheless a promising future.
The title of the article is, "Throw Away Those Silly Little 3D Glasses!
New Interactive Display Frees Users From Wearing Them."
It also features a head-tracker which also has been implemented
by other companies, maybe not exactly in the same fashion though.

The article goes into some detail describing the 3D display. It also 
mentions, how with the advent of graphical interfaces simplifying
computer usage, there is still an obstacle because 2D surfaces have
limitations. For example, overlapping windows with several applications
running, make it difficult to follow what is going on. It's interesting
that recently it was mentioned that graphical interfaces are easier for
beginners but takes a bit of getting used to by experienced users. I
think Alexa would love this technology, especially since it uses
lenticular technology to simplify computers. ;-) 

So for those who get the magazine and haven't yet read the article,
it's on page 37. For those that don't get it, I will post more
details on the weekend, unless someone else cares to post the details
in the meantime. Gotta go fix a hot water tank/heater, so the family
can take a bath! :-(
