stereo view query

        I'm looking for examples of, or information about stereo views, o=
f
Constantinople or other sites in Turkey  taken between (approx) 1870 abd
1910.  they are for a project I am working on, a book, and I have so far
been able to find very few.  I think Turkey or at least constantinople /
Istanbul, was not an area very open to outsiders in the late 19th century=
=2E =

        Any information would be helpful, photographer's names,  publishe=
d
series anything....I'm in the process of making appointments at various
libraries, collections , but I thought I would try this list first, since=

there are a lot of knowlegable people out there...and my needs at this
point are very rudimentary.....
