Kodak Stereo Winding Problem

(When I first wrote the subject line it was "Wind problem with
a Kodak Stereo" but it didn't look right (:-) )

Does anyone have experience with the winding mechanism of
the Kodak Stereo and could give me some pointers when I
attempt to fix mine? The problem in this case is that the
winder just keeps on turning (and advancing the film) and
doesn't come to a stop.

As an aside, when I got this camera it had the usual slow
shutter problem so, following the instructions from various
P3D sources, I disassembled the shutter, cleaned and refocussed
the camera. This all went well and I'm happy with the shutter.

However, because of the slow shutter, I never ran any film
through the camera and since you need to do that notice any
winding problem, the status of the winding at that point was
unknown. Is it possible that disassembly of the shutter for
cleaning could have messed up the winding mechanism?

I don't really see how ... the shutter and winding mechanisms
seem quite separate for the most part but since the shutter is
interlocked with the winding mechanism there must be a
connection at some point, so I wonder .....
