DrT wonders about widening RBT mounts, perhaps with a file,
to which I wonder in return: how would one keep the edges
of the aperture straight?  The slightest deviation from
a straight line (on any one or more of the 2 to 8 edges
that might be modified) when magnified in the viewer or
in projection, I would expect would be quite annoying.

Seems like a worthwhile idea if the straight edges problem
can be dealt with successfully.
