I was shopping in a local mall in Columbus yesterday and
went into the Montgomery Wards (MW) store. Imagine my
surprise when I discovered they are selling a 3-D camera,
made in China, with the name of Kalimar on it. I asked
the clerk to take it out of the bubble wrap package so I could
look at it and get some details. Here is a brief description:

3 27mm lenses-It is designed to make lenticular stereographs
but of course can be used for conventional
stereo
cards or slides by using the two outside
negatives/
                               slides.
Focus - 4 feet to infinity - This seems a bit optimistic!!

Built in Flash - 400 ASA film is recommended

Image Technology, in Norcross GA, is the address listed to
send the film for processing and lenticular prints.

Cost -------$24.99 and is supposed to be available at all
MW stores, according to my friendly salesman.

Looks like a good opportunity for those who want to try their
hand at lenticular stereographs, or for someone who wants
a reasonably priced "people" stereo camera. I don't think the
narrowly separated lenses work to well in "let's photograph
the whole landscape" stereography, just like the Nimslo/
Nishika/ Rittai cameras.
