The horror spoof about a mad scientist re-animatingminiature versions of
cinema's most terrifying monsters
will soon be on video-in 2D. I did expect a quick release
to video, but not this quick. Charles Band, the director
had been quoted as saying he makes sure his films can be
released flat, when and where it is necessary, same as in
the '50s. Full Moon Pictures churns out these cheap horror
flicks and releases them on video. Band is planning to churn
out up to four more 3D films in the next 18 months, I hope
they have more of a 3D life than one week in Chicago and
then a quick video flat release. The video will be available
on December 16th, it is being billed as direct-to-video, this
of course, is the flat version.Too bad the 3D version didn't
make it straight-to-video. The flat video will be priced for
retail at $89.98.

"Head Candy: Sidney's Psychedelic Adventure" is the leatest
release from Victory Multimedia. The hour-long program's
ever-changing, computer-generated visuals are backed by
a score featuring such artists as Merl Saunders (with the late
Jerry Garcia), Alpha Wave Movement and the Bohemian
Swingers. Each video comes packaged with a pair of 3D
holographic prism glasses (sounds like chromatec 3D) and
a stick of incense, priced at $19.98.

Greg Kintz <gkintz@xxxxxxxx> reports:
H3Ds website has just been updated, with "It Came from
Outer Space" and "Creature from the Black Lagoon" back
in place. At present, H3D still plans on a winter '97 launch
for their 3DTV set-up.
