P3D Some free slides (was: value of everyday images)

Hi,

I have to agree with the sentiments expressed in the second paragraph
below. I purchased a Baja case and approximately 1100 slides of various
golf courses under construction in the 1960's. There were *numerous*
slides which were out of focus, over-exposed, etc. However, I was only able
to make myself toss about 100 of the completely (in my opinion) worthless
slides. I identified fewer than 50 that I would be interested in keeping and
around 100 that others might be interested in because they document construction
practices of the period. The remaing slides are of numerous greens in various
stages of development.

It was actually enjoyable to see what the fellow was trying to do with a stereo
camera in documenting the pitfalls and progress of the construction sites. He
would, on occasion, get humans in his shots and managed to document a large flood
of a river (the Mississippi?) in April of 1964(?). I am going to write to the
woman who sold them to me to try to get more information about the photographer
and his subject matters (St. Cloud Country Club was one golf course he documented).

I am torn about what to do with some of these slides since I think some are of
more historical value than others, but this discussion has me thinking that there
might be people interested in some free slides (you cover the cost of postage)?
If so, E-mail me directly at:

Of course, I would love a representative sample of your work if a trade were
offered, but these are not my work so I am not certain that would be fair. ;)

Thanks,

Eddie Hosey
