Good luck!  Not likely to happen.  One temporary exhibition, then 
everything heads to storage (maybe not in a closet, but storage 
nonetheless).  Peter Palmquist gave a talk about the disposition of
collections at the NSA convention in San Diego a few years back, and
the realities of what museums actually do versus what we wish they
would do were pretty sobering.  Even if a museum promises prominence
and permanent exhibition of a donated collection, once they have it 
they can do whatever they want with it.  After a few years in storage it
might be sold off to support their other collections or programs, 
especially if later curators couldn't care less about VM/3D.
