P3D Spacing between window centers (was Window)

I have a bunch of realist format slip-in mounts that have the centers of
the windows slightly farther apart than the other mounts I have. I read in
the archives that this was an early format. I put them on the mounting
guide and found out that the ceneter (edges) line up with the infinity line
and not the near line. Are these still useful? I have narrow spaced eyes
and they are a slightly harder to fuse, but I think someone who has normal
or wider spaced eyes would have no trouble or even like them better.
THe question is, Can I use these for some special effects?

thanks,

Grant
