In a message dated 97-11-17 11:44:12 EST, you write:

<< Does anyone know of a gizmo for
mounting the cameras base-to-base? I'm picturing something like a
screw shaft with a knurled wheel in the middle, but I don't know if
such a thing exists, or where to get one.

How about a piece of Allthread. Just a bolt with threads all the way and no
head. Also check Auto parts store for studs. many different threads available
both metric and standard. If it is long enough you could put two nuts between
the cameras to lock down against the bottom of each camera. Use a longer
length to get a wider seperation.

Just a thought.
