I generally use two slide films, Kodachrome 64 and Fuji Sensia 100. My
Kodak usually comes back in 3-4 days, the Fuji processes locally for
$5.50 in 24 hours at a local lab. Kodak is $7.88
for 24 ex. The Kodak lab seldom follows instructions! As a routine, I
request the film to be returned loose rolled in a box. They always
return it jammed in a little film roll holder. NOT ONCE have they
supplied the box. I still request the film "loose rolled" as routine
though. The rollers of the machine have been scratching the film also.
About 3 weeks ago they mounted the film in 8 mounts and returned the
balance of the roll cut into strips, bare, in the return envelope.
I use a Realist, needless to say most of the roll was ruined. I politely
complained to the Kodak lab and they were rude! No satisfaction! The
local retailer called me and said Kodak had some boxes for me if I
wanted to pick them up.
They gave me 2 boxes! ! "so they have the boxes" I thought.....I was
furious! I just gave away 10 boxes of Kodachrome to a friend. If all of
you are good boys and girls, you too may recieve Kodachrome for the
Holidays! I'm through with Kodak ! MARK DOTTLE
