Okay, now that I got all my personal correspondance out in the open,
here is something for the public.

Actually there is cold hard facts to support this. Vision does go down
hill, especially after age 40. As to it interfering with stereo perception,
that seems to make sense, but haven't seen any data on this specifically.
I remember reading (but don't remember where) that the eyes close distance
focussing ability is related to age. You can tell your "age", by how
close you can focus your eyes on an object; such as their finger.
