|George T. mentioned a week ago suggested RBT mount boxes for holding a few
|Realist sized slides for to give as gifts to relatives.
|
|Another possibility are dimestore carrying cases designed for cassette audio
|tapes. Some of the cheaper cases have removable hard plastic inserts which
|are supposed to seperate the cassettes. On the ones I've seen which allow the
|inserts to be taken out, then the familiar photolab cardboard slide boxes
|will line up in a nice fit inside the outer casing.
|
|Depending on size, a old cassette case emptied of its hard plastic inserts
|might hold only 2 cardboard boxes. Perfect for gift boxes of slides. OTOH,
|there used to be some popular old naugahide cassette cases which will hold
|about 30 boxes.
|
|So after switching to CD's, I still had some use for old audio cassette cases.
